I'm looking for anyone who is interested in becoming a friend, can talk openly and honestly about what life has dealt each of us, and who want to learn about new things. Though my background is a christian upbringing, I am very open to all issues, have no particular prejudices other than about man being cruel to man or those who choose ignorance without wanting to improve and grow within. I've spent my time in church but do not participate now...especially since the loss of my son, Michael, to suicide in 1992. So you can see I have had my own trying experience and tragedy. I'm divorced for the second time and NOT looking for a relationship. Teaching is my profession and my interests include much more than the outline given...especially working with people, preferably teens at risk. I have a lovely grown daughter and we are best friends though she lives on the East Coast (I miss her terribly). Tuffy, is my 4 yr old Pit Bull/Lab mix companion plus three cats and whatever else I may bring home from time to time comprise my current family. My home is warm and inviting...my friends say it's their home away from home too. I spend a great deal of time in my own space and enjoy my peace and quiet with laughter and good music in the background. Sewing is one of my favorite past times and I also teach mini-courses in decorating from time to time. Creativity is lots of fun and we each have our own flavor to add to bring the real beauty out in this world. Will you share yours with me? Tell me how you spend your spare time and what do you enjoy. These are two of my precious pets...Tuffy is a 4 yr old Pit Bull/Lab mix and my side kick. Little Boy is my male cat and then I have two females as well, Sister and Gabby. They all bring a great deal of enjoyment and humor into the home. | My interests are wide ranging but if I had to list them I'd begin with spending time with friends and family, reading good books from current authors, music (jazz, R&B, new age like Enya and Enigma, Rock n'Roll), travel as often as I can, believe in women's rights, love computers and anything they can do (PC preferably) can dance to just about anything, the paranormal and unorthodox issues, having pets (any kind) and continuing my education and experiential growth. Would like to go fishing more but haven't in a long time. Can't list them all, but I'll try almost anything once and if I like it, well watch out. Want to learn about new things and places to go. So, come on and teach me something!
